Angela Fowler is an accessibility consultant who has worked in both the public and private sector. As a business woman who is also totally blind, she combines her passion for accessibility with the understanding that most people, though they want to do the right thing, may not know that there is a right thing to do, much less what it is.
With humor and straight talk tempered with patients, she seeks to show businesses that making their products accessible will bring a huge boost to their bottom line by opening them up to people with disabilities, who command a significant buying power approaching $2.5 Trillian. And, as she says, its just the right thing to do.
Angela runs her consulting business from her home in Northern California, which she shares with her 18-year-old son, whose life seems to barely include her, and her loving dog of indeterminate breed who thinks she’s God’s gift to doggie kind and cannot get enough of her company. When she’s not working, she enjoys true crime, sports, and cooking the best tri-tip on God’s planet low and slow on the barbecue.
